Gambling Awareness of Monroe through Education our Students (GAMES) is a committee of Monroe students, parents, educators and other town leaders that partners with RYASAP (Regional Youth/Adult Substance Abuse Project). It serves to help youth make wise decisions when it comes to their personal finance and gambling issues. There are three main points that we try to get along to the youth we educate:

  • The choice to abstain from gambling as a lifelong practice is a legitimate choice that many people make.
  • GAMES wants every young person to wait until they are the legal age to gamble, and do not want them to ever gamble illegally
  • If one does choose to gamble, GAMES wishes they are informed enough about gambling in order to lower their risk of gambling problems.
